Katie Zale, LCSW

She/her

Owner & Therapist

I’m from central and somewhat rural North Carolina, where I developed a deep love for and connection with nature. I graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication with a Public and Interpersonal Concentration and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. I went on to complete my Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of North Carolina Wilmington.

Throughout my career as a clinical social worker, I’ve gained diverse experience, including roles such as Bereavement Counselor at a hospice, Court Advocate and Counselor at a nonprofit for domestic violence, provider of community mental health services, primary therapist at a residential and partial hospitalization program for adults with disordered eating, and an equine-assisted therapist.

In my practice, I blend Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Mindfulness practices. I have a special interest in working with young adults as they navigate identity, relationships, career, and overall well-being.

Katie currently serve clients in North Carolina, Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

Madeline Chapla, LCSWA

She/Her

Therapist

I join the Woven team from Charlottesville, VA and bring a steadfast commitment to mental health and fostering human connection. I hold an undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill. My education and professional background working with individuals affected by sexual assault, domestic violence, and child maltreatment have equipped me with a deep respect for peoples’ unique life experiences. I strive to help folks develop effective coping skills and build resilience.

Drawing from extensive experience in victim support and crisis intervention, I create a therapeutic space where clients can openly explore their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors. I specialize in working with adults navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, and life adjustments. My approach integrates evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and mindfulness techniques.

If you are looking for a therapist with a compassionate approach and commitment to fostering well-being, I invite you to connect with me.
